Romania with Bell International

Eight day young learners course with Bell International. Many thanks to Carmen, Ana and the wonderful teachers :) The teachers from the course shared their ideas on teaching letters and sounds with us in the Oxford Magazine - click here :)

Day trip to Brasov, Bran Castle and Rasnov Fortress...wonderful :) Evenings out in Bucharest with Anda Ienda (Piranha Club, Actors' Bar) and great dinner with team from Fischer at Chez Marie..good times with good friends!

II JORNADAS PEDAGOGICAS COLEGIO BUEN PASTOR DE SEVILLA

Conference organised by Buen Pastor School and Saint Mary's School in Seville. This is the second year that they organise this event and I was kindly invited to give a talk on the benefits of bilingual education.

IX Jornades de Llengües Estrangeres, Salou

Wonderful, energetic audience and extremely patient with all the technical (and non-technical) 'glitches' (remote control didn't work, unplugged the projector, couldn't get microphone headset to fit, I almost wiped out)....what a session!

Granadilla - Reconstructing an abandoned village

This week I visited an amazing little village in Extremadura called Granadilla. Students from IES around Spain and reconstructing the village which was 'abandoned' years ago. Beautiful spot and interesting project. I talked to one of the teachers and one of the students and both said that the experience was very rewearding. For more information on the project CLICK

Great day in Madrid at the British Council Conference :) Workshops given on Vocabulary and Writing..very active participation from teachers :)

Tunisia with British Council

Many thanks to Sarah and the teachers/staff at British Council Tunis for their fabulous treatment and active participation on the course. Very special evening with dinner by the sea, home-cooked meal and a Tunisian wedding...incredible!
